Kelly will do ANYTHING to be seen on my blog! :)

We have had fun celebrating Wyatt this last week. His birthday was the 29th and he was baptized Saturday, August 2nd. It was a really neat day as we had a lot of our family and friends to share it with. We are so glad they could come. My mom and dad came on Friday and we went out to dinner at Rusty's. We just enjoyed the night watching the kids play outside. Saturday was stressful for me (and therefore, Matt - can you say Jon & Kate in action) while I tried to prepare for the dinner. I'm lucky my mom was with me to put most of the salads together and help me set up. Wyatt got a big surprise- an off road scooter- which he loves. He spent most of the day on it and I had to go find where he was so he could come in and shower before his baptism. He had a great baptism program. Wyatt chose the song "We Thank Thee O' God For a Prophet," Grandma W. gave the opening prayer, Brooklyn gave a talk on baptism, then Wyatt was baptized. Kameron gave a talk on the Holy Ghost then Wyatt was confirmed- we then sang "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" and Kristi B. gave the closing prayer. It was so cool to see him in the baptismal font. He looked so big. It's hard for me to believe he is 8. He was really excited for the big day. We had a fun after party and all our friends and family came to hang out for a bit. We played hard into the night and we didn't really even have a chance for to talk to Wyatt about how he felt until the next day and I had him write his thoughts in his journal. It was a really great weekend and I can hardly wait until it's Deirdre and Hayden's turn!

So sad that we missed such a fun party! Good job Wyatt - we are proud of you. (Coming from your old primary teacher)
We had fun at the party, thanks for letting us come. Congrats Wyatt!
Cool Wyatt, Davis wishes he could have been there. We hope that when it is Daviss turn you guys can come. I can't believe they are old enough to get baptised that is so neat. We will probably baptise Davis and Bless the Twins the last saturday in oct that is the 25th
