Saturday night before Easter, Deirdre was going to bed and told me she couldn't wait to see all her princess presents from the Easter Bunny.- I thought oh, fabulous the Easter bunny isn't prepared with Princess presents! I reminded the kids that Easter is NOT Christmas- it is just as important but not as big of a gift giving occasion. Anyway- Sunday morning came and mind you we have 9:00 church. Any normal day Deirdre is up by 6:15 a.m. Oh, but not today. I set my alarm for 6:20 and NO one was even close to awake. So Mom had to do a little noise making- it's kind of fun because I get to make noise while they are asleep instead of them waking us up! They got up and ran out to the family room and got to look for more eggs! The Easter Bunny had left foil-wrapped chocolate eggs. Hayden decided that it took too long to unwrap them and they tasted just as good with the foil on- sick! Notice the chocolate running down his face! They had a lot of fun hunting the eggs- that clever Easter Bunny kept them looking and we even found some later in the day.
We had Grandma and Grandpa Barton and Aunt Denise over for Easter dinner. Wyatt, Deirdre and Hayden put on a wild floor show of basketball, dancing and throwing ourselves on the floor- we are a noisy group. Then we went outside to enjoy the weather and play. Hayden took Grandma on a walk- they were gone for quite a while in the backyard. Then came the fun part when Deirdre (on accident) smacked Wyatt in the head with a baseball bat- in short- Day Over! Try again tomorrow.
It was a wonderful weekend. I am so thankful we have this opportunity to reflect on Christ's resurrection and His sacrifice for us.

Glad to see the Easter Bunny came to your house. He finally made it to our house during nap time! Hope Wyatt is feeling okay after the sudden bonk. Anything broken?
