Wyatt is playing machine pitch this summer. His birthday was too late for little league so he had to play machine pitch again this year. He has done really well- He has had some great stops and throws and the other night he had a double play where he caught a fly ball (he was playing short-stop) and ran to second and got the guy out. The funny part with Wyatt is when he bats- he doesn't want just a hit- he wants to literally kill the ball. It makes me nervous when he gets up to bat because you just want your kid to do well and it's hard when they strike out sometimes. Matt is one of the coaches and Wyatt's other coaches have worked with him to get him hitting better- he has only struck out twice but it's still hard for him but he has had some really good hits. On his first game he kept running more than one base- in machine pitch every 6 runs changes the inning- so we had to remind him no matter how far he hit he could only run one base! Oh, the world of a hyper competitive child!
Anyway the other night I got a special treat at the ball game! Hayden decided to run a 104 fever 2 hours before the game- but then he perked up and started running around so dumb me I figured he would be ok at the game- we just wouldn't sit by anyone. When we got there he sat on my lap and kept saying, "Mommy, hode (hold) you." Since I am normally never able to watch a game due to the fact that between Hayden and Deirdre my eyes are rarely on the field- this was quite a treat- until Hayden threw up! Fun for all involved. After he did his business he felt a lot better and started jumping around (we were in the car by now) Is it white trashy to have your kid running around a ball park without a shirt on- I'm going to say yes but what the heck at least he felt better.

Well he would fit right in here in Hawaii but he would also have to take off his shoes or slippers as everyone calls them.
Davis's season has already ended he had so much fun he played second base most of the year our coach had no idea what the rules of baseball were no joke he was an idot but at least he got to play.
